My Favorite Bath and Body Works Candles

I love fall! And part of the reason why is I love the smells. Leaves, and apples, and fireplaces. So I figured I’d post something a little different today and discuss my favorite fall scents, and specifically candles, from bath and body works. They are currently having a sale, 2 for $22 on their 3-wick candles, which are regularly $20 each, so that’s when I tend to stock up! The boyfriend likes to burn them after meals so we go through them quickly. Here’s the ones I got for this fall!

Old Favorites
Screen Shot 2014-09-16 at 3.19.59 PMMy favorite scent of all is “Leaves”. Which is described as “Celebrate the brilliant colors of autumn with this rich blend of golden nectar, red apple and spiced berries.” Love that this is an all time favorite, and keeps coming back every year. I hate that they changed the wax color to brown though. I’m very picky about this candle, and only buy the Slatkin version, not the White Barn version. Don’t know why, other than I feel that it smells different, and better.

Screen Shot 2013-11-03 at 6.14.39 PMApplewood Bonfire” which is “warm up to the cozy scent of an autumn bonfire – apples, crackling barks and fresh cut wood” I didn’t see this candle this year, so I’m thankful I have an extra one from last year to burn!

“MarshScreen Shot 2014-09-16 at 3.20.38 PMmallow Fireside”. This one has a much sweeter undertone and more of a favorite for me than for the boyfriend. But it’s described as “a sweet-toasty end to a snowy, fun-filled day. Toasted marshmallows and sumptuous vanilla cream blend with the comforting aroma of rich smoldering woods”

New Scents That I’m Digging

Screen Shot 2014-09-16 at 3.21.06 PMTailgate: “It’s game day! Capture the fun of tailgating with a blend of dark cedarwood, sage and a touch of soft musk” This candle smells awesome. It’s sweet, kind of has an apple scent, and is still pretty manly. I hope this becomes a favorite and is available in years to come.

Sweater WScreen Shot 2014-09-16 at 3.22.41 PMeather: “Cuddle up with an aromatic blend of eucalyptus, juniper berry and fresh sage that celebrates the arrival of crisp autumn breezes” This one is sold out online, that’s how popular it is! This is another scent that has a little sweet note to it, but also pretty masculine, perfect for both Mike and I.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin” – This is sweet, and fall all in one. I love that there’s cinnamon to overpower the pumpkin scent, so it’s not one of those typical pumpkin scents. However, Bath and Body Works has a TON of pumpkin scents, all mixed with something sweet – donut, cupcake, etc. And I find them all disgusting. This is the only one I truly enjoy.

Honorable Mentions

Screen Shot 2014-09-16 at 3.21.44 PMThe boyfriend wanted me to mention his favorite is “Fresh Balsam” which straight up smells like a Christmas tree. His house is super cabin/woodsy/hunting style so it does fit in well. I didn’t purchase this in my recent candle haul, I figure I’d save it for the next time they go on sale, hopefully it’ll be closer to christmas.

Another one that Mike lScreen Shot 2014-09-16 at 3.20.57 PMoves, and I enjoy also, is “Mahogany Teakwood“. This is like Abercrombie Boy in a jar – yum. 😉 It’s sultry and delicious, and a classic Bath and Body Works favorite.

And my favorite scent to wear personally on my body, from Bath aScreen Shot 2013-11-03 at 6.14.48 PMnd Body Works, is “Paris Amour”. And if they ever stop making it. I will probably cry. It’s claim is its a blend of french tulips, apple blossoms, sparkling pink champaign. I don’t know if I smell any of those things individually, but I love the scent nonetheless. I have the body wash, body butter, triple moisture body cream, body splash, AND a candle in this scent. Yeah, it’s love.
